Our “Homeless Guest Winemaker” series continues, featuring winemakers without a tasting room of their own. Today we welcome Ted Johnson of Catman Cellars.

Northwest wineries are gaining increasing recognition for a wide range of European wine varietals in addition to such Burgundian wines as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Catman Cellars is one of a small number of Oregon wineries that produces classic European red varietals as true Oregon wines using regional fruit. These include the wines of the Bordeaux region of southern France, Italy and Spain.

Catman has won numerous international as well as regional awards competing against wines with producers from around the world. Catman Cellars was named 2020 Oregon Winery of the Year by the New York International Wine Competition, which named them Winery of the Year again in 2022.

Ted will be pouring Sangiovese, Malbec and Tempranillo.
